Tell Us Your Good Deed

My good deed is being there for anyone regardless of if I know them or not. I saw a women fighting with her (assuming) boyfriend outside the Auburn Mall one day a couple years back when I was waiting for a ride home from work. He was pushing her, and threatening what hed do to her when they got home, she was crying and clearly he is an abusive person in her life. I took the chance of getting hurt myself by intervening and getting him to leave her alone and I would call the cops and he was mad at her saying "are you serious right now fine go with her" then I took her inside and got her a pretzel and drink and chatted for a bit, because that's what she wanted. I got her an uber, but never heard from her again. I hope she got out of that situation because as an abuse, rape survivor myself I couldnt let her be treated that way everyone sitting there being silent and watching made me sick.

Why are you participating?

Its important for people to know that being different isnt a sin. Everyone has things about them that made them who they are, unique and individual. In this world of judgement and hate it's so vital that people who are part of the lgbtq+ community, people of color, allies, drag queens, drag kings, rape and abuse survivors to be accepted and loved just like everyone else. And show the people who think otherwise there is no reason to bash and hate people like us. We are not evil, we are some of the nicest people you will ever meet in your life and would take the clothes off our back to help out someone in need.
