Tell Us Your Good Deed
Once I went with a group of students from my college to a rural village in Haiti for a week - we helped schoolchildren improve their English, but most importantly the friendships we made demonstrated a mutual respect and love that goes beyond language and culture.
Why are you participating?
It's important for people to realize that there's more than meets the eye. I've surprised myself so much lately by simply getting to know people regardless of their background. Appreciating what makes them unique affirms their dignity and also helps me grow as an individual. I hope to continue seeing people all around the world in God's loving eyes, especially as I aspire to become a medical doctor for the underprivileged.
