I am nice to everyone I meet and I try to be a friend to everyone.
I've been a Girl Scout since I was five, and it helped shape who I am today. So, when a group of first graders wanted to start a troop and couldn't find a leader, my mom, sister, and I decided to form a Girl Scout troop for these girls. We were their leaders for 5 years, until I graduated high school. In that time, I watched my little first graders grow into thoughtful and caring girls, and was able to provide a positive role model for them.

I volunteered at Rocking Horse Rehab, a pediatric rehabilitation and family wellness center focused on equine assisted therapies known as Hippotherapy. There, I assisted with various approaches to rehabilitation, celebrated progress and reevaluated relapses, treating children with a wide range of medical conditions. One of the greatest joys in working with these children with special needs was observing the progress the horses could engender. Each relationship between child and horse is unique and acts as an impetus for success, motivating the child to work hard to achieve his goals.

I always try to do things for my friends to make their lives a little better, whether it's bringing them coffee in the morning after a long night or getting them off campus to take a break. It makes me sad to see others around me sad and I always try my best to cheer them up.
As a Resident Assistant, I work with a lot of different people all the time. I see diversity as nothing to do with the color of your skin, but more about how your past experiences come together to make you unique.

I spend countless hours volunteering at the Children Specialized Hospital and have planned/participated in many projects and fundraisers that go to helping the children in care. Whether you know it or not the hospital will never turn away a patient because of lack of funds, and I am happy to say that I have had a hand in helping those kids by not only raising money but by putting a smile on their faces. It is a organization that is near and dear to my heart.
I am participating in the No Evil Project because we have all been judged on throughout our lives. I am more than the athlete, I am the intellect. I am more than Polish, but Irish and Italian as well. I am short, but don't under estimate me. We are more than what you see.

I volunteer for Special Olympics every year. It's my way of giving back and supporting the athletes who try their hardest every day. My favorite part is when the athletes get excited and I can be there to support them.
I am participating for people who may not have come from the best backgrounds but have risen above the struggle. It's always worth the fight.

I've always been a very open minded person. Whenever I meet someone new, I put any previous judgments aside and try to get to know someone for who they are based on an opinion I've formed on my own. I am extremely against stereotypes and make sure I never engage in that manner.
