Tell Us Your Good Deed

One time after coming back from the dentist, one day me and my mom was walking to our car and we seen an elderly woman who was struggling to walk and we later found out that she has to go to the other side of town, so we gave her a ride. Also we stopped to get her something to eat. She also didn't speak English so we had to get someone to translate and she lived near us so we had gone in the way we go home every day.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I mentor my international ESL students after they have left my classroom and transition into university life in America. I do this because people helped me (and my family) feel at home in my worldly travels. Knowing someone cares about you really helps when adjusting to a new culture.

Why are you participating?

People don't think of me as Puerto Rican because I'm "only a quarter" or have freckles, but I have always felt my PR heritage strongly and have always proudly listed it first when stating my Heinz57 American genetic makeup.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I volunteer a year's worth of time to get a Witches Gala for nonprofit organizations.

Why are you participating?

I hate any labels. Everyone should just love one another no matter what.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I hold a Gala every year to raise money for nonprofits. This year we are giving all monies to two nonprofits. Last year we raised over 10,000. I'm proud to do this as a small woman owned business.

Why are you participating?

I'm all about experiences.
