Tell Us Your Good Deed

I spend my time helping others who are newly diagnosed with chronic illness navigate their new world of doctors, disability, and isolation. I do everything possible to support those who are dangerously depressed, and I work to break down prejudice toward disability and invisible illness.

Why are you participating?

I am constantly struggling with the issues listed above myself. I would like people to know that those of us who can't work still do good things - and we would KILL to be able to work.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I volunteer for Planned Parenthood, Fresh Start, and the No One Walks Alone Recovery Center. I'm a Recovery Coach with 2 years and 9 months sober. My life today is a commitment to family, giving back, and helping others who are struggling.

Why are you participating?

There's a descriminatory label put on so many people today. From sexuality, to religion, to things overcome such as addiction, or mental health struggles. These labels and struggles do not define us. They are a page in an entire series of books that chronicle your adventure through life.
