Tell Us Your Good Deed

I've volunteered in a Parkour event for breast cancer awareness. I ran around my hometown doing flips and jumps wearing pink. I knew people affected by this, including my mother, I ran knowing this form of cancer made them stronger.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I saved my brother from drowning when we were kids.

Why are you participating?

I am participating in the project because labels have negatively affected me and I would like people to know me for who I am as a person rather than just a few groups (ethnic, social, economic) that I am a part of.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

In high school, I went to Mali, West Africa and lived in an indigenous village for two weeks to help build a school. Mali is one of the poorest undeveloped countries in the world and the literacy rate is unbelievably low. I like knowing that I helped both children and adults learn to read and write which will help not only this small village, but Mali as a whole.

Why are you participating?

Sometimes we are too quick to judge people by the external things that we see. This project allows for us to see the good in the world and to breathe hope back into humanity.

Of all the actions, seeing, hearing and speaking, the one that I control is what I say. The others I refuse to participate with. I have always loved locs, the hairstyle, and the positive energy of those that wear them. I currently do volunteer work with Art in the Park, Worcester, support Democracy, activate for a community where the institutions and the cultural life reflect that of its inhabitants.

Why are you participating?

I like the fact that the no evil project is a simple positive project and an easy way to activate.
