I hold a Gala every year to raise money for nonprofits. This year we are giving all monies to two nonprofits. Last year we raised over 10,000. I'm proud to do this as a small woman owned business.

After I was adopted, I stayed in touch with my adoption agency. Every year, when the kids flew in from Russia, I would meet them at the airport to welcome them to America and help translate. I hope that it was a friendly face and someone who understood how they were feeling.

Why are you participating?

I was recently affected by "millennial bashing" in my workplace. I was angry but took the opportunity to have a constructive discussion and educate my coworker.
