Freckled Stereotypes Redefined

I'm an art teacher, which means that the classroom teachers are responsible for picking up their students from my class. One grade of teachers knows my lunch is right after their class and see that as an invitation to take a few extra minutes because I don't teach a class directly after it. There is one teacher who is always on time. It means a lot to me. Since it is the end of the school year I made sure to write her a nice card explaining how much I appreciated it and how her effort didn't go unnoticed.

Volunteer at a local hospital.

Working on Pack-A-Back, a summer self sufficiency program that donates over 2,000 backpacks for underprivileged children k-12. The program ensures that they go to school ready to learn and succeed.

I try to volunteer as much as I can, most recently with the Hanover Theater, the United Way and Community Builders. Hopefully, when I'm not working full time I can volunteer a lot more!

Raising oodles of money for Dana Farber and cycling 192 miles from Sturbridge to Provincetown in the Pan Mass Challenge.
