Tell Us Your Good Deed

I try to set a good example for my kids. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. It is important for people to try to do their best, be acknowledged for giving it their best effort, and not be criticized if the end result isn't perfect. Everyone has different talents and interests. Right now I am not working as a software engineer, so I volunteer at my kids' schools. I love nature and art and participate in the schools' Art Literacy Projects. I also help struggling students with math. I am almost obsessive at recycling.

Why are you participating?

I was visiting Worcester Art Museum and the photographer asked if I'd participate, so I said "yes." I think this is a fun and interesting way to make people aware of things they can do to make the world a better place.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

Although it's not much, I like to make people feel good about themselves, so I go out of my way to pay people compliments. Whether they're wearing a killer pair of boots, have a shirt that I wish I was wearing instead, or a haircut that I envy, or whether I ask them about their beautiful tattoos, I compliment them and seeing how much they appreciate the time I took to tell them this is more than enough. I love being able to make people's days like that because I know how good it is to hear kind words from a stranger.
