I love being there for the people that need it the most. I want to dedicate extra time that I have for people that are less fortunate or ill. I thrive to be open minded and accept others.
I have volunteered to a beach clean up over 14 times in my life!
Just to spread more good.

My favorite activity was being a mentor for a high school aged girl interested in STEM. It was a program that not only showed the students the importance of minority women in STEM, it reinforced my decision to stay in STEM even when times were hard. It was an amazing program and we got to show the students our college campuses, talk to them about their lives and give them advice for the college process.

I offered my teeny freezer that fits dorm regulations to my floormate who needed her ice pack re-freezed. She twisted her ankle the night before and couldn't move around very much because of her crutches.
I am participating because a nice family approached me on the street.

I went to Tanzania to help out a community center in Kigambani with teaching English, and helping secure scholarships for children to go to school. I still keep in contact and do work for this center.
