I served on the Worcester Arts Council for 3.5 years- volunteering as an art advocate and helping to impact my community through all types of arts.

Why are you participating?

I participated in serving as a volunteer on the Worcester Arts Council because I had a passion and love of Worcester and wanted to help my community.

when I was in the 6th grade, I helped an elderly lady rake her front yard. Ever since then, we became best friends. We wrote letters to each other all of the time when she had to move to a nursing home. It wasn't until the summer of this year that she Passed away, I love her so much; she was the grandmother I never had.

Why are you participating?

I taught my myself everyday to care less about what people say or might think about me... I learned to "live in the moment not in the mirror" and here I am.

I donated my hair. Eight inches went to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths Foundation and I couldn't be happier with my hair. However, people tend to immediately assume I'm some rebellious being because of my spiky and silly hair, when it's actually gone to a place where a woman that cannot grow hair will be able to wear it.

Why are you participating?

I heard about the project at a local art festival and I was very excited. People tend to identify themselves with the labels that are placed on them and they change their true beings to someone they actually are not.
