Tell Us Your Good Deed

I am a full-time volunteer at a community college working with the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society students and have helped members to reach their full potential and make a difference in our community.

Why are you participating?

I believe in equality for all and have always done my best to help those less fortunate, those who have been discriminated against, and anyone who looked like they just needed a friend.

Provide support for numerous diversity events and causes, including the MLK Breakfast, MLK Golf Tournament, Stand Against Racism, Hispanics Achieving and Celebrating Excellence, Diversity Fares, etc.

Why are you participating?

It's a fun yet meaningful way to call attention to the hurt that can be caused by stereotypes. Good opportunity to pause a moment to consider the truth that all people are valuable and add richness to the world.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

Everyone has good in them and everyone is different. I'm so proud to work in such a diverse school. People's differences are beautiful and encouraging. I love giving back to the community, and to my students in need. Support Andy’s Attic

Why are you participating?

I think this is a brilliant way to get everyone to stand up against stereotypes, bullying, and a way to feel positive about who you are.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

At my martial arts school, the black belts (and other upper belts) are encouraged to be extra kind to the lower belts, especially the newest students. We help show them around the school, give them help outside of class, etc. I try to often go beyond and be nicer to the new students, along with the other higher ranked students.

Why are you participating?

I liked the positive message of the project, that anyone can do good, no matter their stereotype. I felt this was something I wanted to participate in.
