I helped organize a competitive, community-oriented creative-writing/performance poetry group in Tunkhannock, PA called The Breaking Ground Poets. We offer workshops and hold open mics, and host local competitions. We also invite published performance poets to visit and perform, and we attended Brave New Voices in August.

The older I get, the less comfortable I am with labels - both for myself and others. Life is about change and evolution and eventual dissolution. So we must learn to unlearn, let go, and offer freedom to others and ourselves.
I organized a running group at my college and encouraged people of all abilities to attend.
I saw the table at stART on the street and it seems like a great idea to me!
