Tell Us Your Good Deed

I am a big brother and I am always there to help my mom when she needs me. I am also an animal lover like my mom and am always finding ways to convince her why we need another animal.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I am an animal lover and tend to be that mom that shrugs her shoulders and says ok to her sons when they ask to bring in a new animal. The biggest rescue I had was before my boys. I had moved into a new place and discovered the woman who lived there prior was feeding the local cats. 31 to be exact. Through help from my local rescue, we caught them all and had them neutered. I couldnt accept that the rescue told me they just releases them back in the wild, so I found homes for each and every cat. When you see a stray it probably needs help.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

At Rototom, Sunsplash in Benicasim, Spain this summer I assisted this beautiful, strong woman who was fiercely trying to make it over the hill in her wheelchair, with her children by her side, to the campsite. I offered to push her to the top! It was one of the most fulfilling acts of kindness for me & truly filled my spirit.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I like to leave my friends small notes for them to find later on their whiteboard, on a post-it, or wherever. They usually say something like, "Happy Friday" or "I love you," nothing elaborate. It's just a simple way to remind people that I care about them.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I believe that kindness is unbelievably underrated. I try to live my life according to the ideal that you should always be kind, whether it is having a little extra patience at a restaurant or at the hospital, or trying to think as the other person during an argument or disagreement.

Why are you participating?

Because I truly believe stereotyping is wrong and hurtful. Whatever you were born to, your set of beliefs or your lifestyle does not necessarily make you who you are or how you want to interact with people. You get to choose who you are, not what you are born to.
