I help immigrants, dogs, cats at friends and family who are in need.
This is a nice project. We need more positive things out there.
I love being a volunteer reader at Audio Journal, where we broadcast the readings of daily newspapers and magazines, live on air, for people who are blind, vision-impaired or for anyone who cannot access the printed word.
It's my belief that the world would be a much happier place if we accepted each others differences and learned to be less judgmental.

I have volunteered in many areas since the age of 14. I am a retired pediatric nurse and worked for 35 years. I was very proud to help save the life of a young boy. My greatest joy is my family including 9 grandchildren.
We all need to see that there are many good people in the world. This projects helps to spread good news and smiles. Thank you Troy.

I volunteer at Audio Journal, work on the annual United Way Campaign through work, and at the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts. I donate to various causes that are impacting my own life or the life of those close to me. I feel it's important to give back to one's community which not only helps others, but enriches my own life as well.

Along with my sister, I'm helping my mother navigate the difficult path of aging. Also, always adopt a rescue animal when looking for a pet!.
I don't like to judge or label anyone, so it is interesting to see how we label ourselves.

I like to pass along smiles by taking photographs. I volunteer for the Hanover Theatre, with a professional organization - The BioCommunications Association and as a trustee for a condo association. I pick up trash along the trails when I'm geocaching (CITO - cache in trash out).
There is good in everyone, don't stereotype, and smiles multiply... pass one along. Life is good!

Besides volunteering, I love to share my interests with others....It's great to hear what interests others, share in what is fun in other peoples lives...and share what excites you.
I am participating because we need to notice others...we are so technology driven, we no longer know about the people around us. Stop, look around at all the beauty and excitment around us !
