Tell Us Your Good Deed

I just lost a job I loved in Cambridge MA. Moving meant downsizing - a lot. Dawn was an assistant manager at my local laundromat. We spent a lot of time talking on those Saturday laundry days. I found out she had a tough life and very little of her own that wasn't from a Thrift Store or 3-hand. I asked her if she could stop by my apartment one day after her shift. I then gave her the entire contents of my kitchen: dishes, flatware, cooking utensils, you name it. We both cried like babies and it was a beautiful moment in an otherwise bittersweet time.

Why are you participating?

Everyone has a grand capacity for good!

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I always give away a banana when I buy bananas at the gas station, and pass on coupons that I'm not going to use.

Why are you participating?

I think there is more to people than what's on the outside. People are alone so I like to smile & say hi to strangers. I think there's a lot of hurt in the world. Make fun out of every situation.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I rescued three baby redwing blackbirds and brought them to a refuge center in Roseville. I work on rummage sales and have bought several toys, stuffed animals, and books for a 19 month old son of a neighbor.

Why are you participating?

I genuinely believe in this project.
