Volunteering for a non-profit LIFT in Worcester.
Activist Stereotypes Redefined

I volunteer as often as I can for non-profits and donate regularly to various charities even though my personal budget is very tight. I also teach self defense courses to women for free based on my 30+ years of martial arts experience.
I don't fit into a box. People are always trying to label me, and so now I own my own labels. My labels change every single day - and I am not defined by them.

I listen carefully to people's stories, of joy, pain, grief, struggle, accomplishment, confusion, dreams, secrets, fears, hopes, strivings, and more.
Kindness matters. Honesty matters. Connection matters.
Speaking out for those who are oppressed. Having a voice for the population of people who struggle in the lower economic class.

It is my personal mission to make people feel like they're enough. I try to be the person anyone can go to if they need to talk or need to be told they're good enough. My good deed is making people feel worthy of life.
I want to make a difference.

I keep granola bars and water bottles in my car just in case I see a homeless person holding a sign while I'm driving.
I believe that everyone is good, everyone has good intentions and this project will help people to see that.
