Tell Us Your Good Deed

I volunteer as the assistant coordinator of the Brian Litz Memorial Scholarship Fund, we host a basketball alumni game every winter to honor and remember Brian. Brian was a canine officer in Florida who lost his life on the job. The money raised at the game through donations goes to the Scholarship Fund. Two scholarships are awarded each year to one senior on each of the basketball teams. The Agawam boys and girls varsity basketball teams vote each year for which senior is the all-around best teammate (like Brian was) and whichever senior gets the most votes receives the scholarship.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I have volunteered with my local food bank, helped give holiday gifts to underprivileged children in my town and I try to be there for people when they need me.

Why are you participating?

I think that labels can help people get a better sense of their identity but shouldn't be forced onto people by others than themselves.
