Why are you participating?

I really hate stereotyping. It's cruel and most often, not true. Yes, I am an atheist. No, I do not hate religious people.

I dressed up as Santa Claus and entertained a group of orphans at their Christmas party.

Why are you participating?

Many people view Atheists as heartless and devoid of any moral character. It's assumed that we live empty, bleak lives with no meaning. The manner in which I live my life is contrary to that perception, as is the case with many Atheists.

I performed many hours of volunteer work in college with the national co-ed service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega.

Why are you participating?

My "gay" and "atheist" labels virtually guarantee I couldn't get elected to public office if I wanted to. I hope people see that we are civic-minded people too!
