Tell Us Your Good Deed

I was a part of a volunteer group that put on live shows for elderly homes, police stations, and fire stations. We would perform musical numbers, dances, scenes, instrumental pieces etc. We would do a theme for each show and would do special ones around the holiday seasons. It was truly rewarding to brighten up someone's day, especially when some would never be visited and rarely saw a new friendly face.

Why are you participating?

I was approached about this project at a craft fair and really liked what it was all about. I'm happy to be a part of anything that celebrates and embraces all of our unique differences.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I send postcards at random to close friends and family and lost connections along the way. I always hear that my postcard "made someone's day." And I get that. Sorting through junk mail and bills gets old; something as simple as a postcard with words short and sweet can make all the difference.

Why are you participating?

I believe that doing good is more than just what many consider "big, significant events." Doing good is more than an external production, it's a internal struggle that can produce a smile that may change the course of someone's life.
