Tell Us Your Good Deed

I help raise money annually for the American Cancer Society and currently chair the United Way campaign at my employer. ...and I compulsively pick up trash at the beach. :)

Why are you participating?

My fabulous friend Sandie told me about it and I love the idea.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I volunteer at the Boys and Girls club in the Homework room. It is definitely one of the best experiences because the kids are so amazing and I hope I make them smile as much as they make me smile. I also love to laugh. If I can make at least one person laugh with me a day, then it's been a good day!

Why are you participating?

Everyone has some good in them, it just may not be the first thing you see. We need to give people a chance and from my experience it's usually worth it!

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I've participated in many organizations and events that benefit children with cancer. In high school, I was the President of a club that raised money for the Tomorrow's Children fund. Now, at Quinnipiac University, I am the current PR chair and future President of the Irish Club which sponsor events and raises money to be donated to the St. Baldrick's foundation.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

Every month I spend six hours volunteering at the American Red Cross helping the occupational school director organize classes for people to take. I have been volunteering since my freshman year in college and I can't imagine a more rewarding position. I get to make a difference in my community and give people opportunities to educate themselves and improve their lives!

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I was walking into a store when I noticed an old man had fallen in the parking lot. I called an ambulance and sat with him in the rain until help came.

Why are you participating?

I love the idea of this project.
