I volunteer as Board President for The Revolving Museum, a nomadic art institution that is dedicated to transforming and revitalizing abandoned or under used spaces into innovative community arts projects.

Why are you participating?

I grew up in the inner city of Boston, and I was the only mixed race child in my immediate family. My mother and siblings were all white. We were very often the subject of discussion among the neighborhood, and were labeled all kinds of things.
Labels can hurt.
