Tell Us Your Good Deed

I devote all of my professional time and a good chunk of my free time to nonprofit organizations in my community that help those most in need - low-income, elderly, and homeless individuals and families.

Why are you participating?

I think it's a great idea and I'm happy to add my own set of labels to the growing list.

I am extremely fortunate to have the privilege to empower girls and young women to be STRONG, SMART, & BOLD. Using the expressive arts as a platform to have their voices heard (music, theatre, dance, poetry, storytelling, visual arts, graphic arts) girls can address the difficult challenges they face growing up in today's society: including bullying, body image, self-esteem, peer pressure and healthy relationships.

Why are you participating?

I am participating because I feel it is important to bring an awareness that labels and stereotyping can be limiting and in some cases, damaging.

I work with some of the coolest girls on Earth to help them learn all about science, math, engineering, and technology as well as gain important leadership skills. I also love to volunteer on organic farms and smile at strangers.
