I came to the aid of an elderly woman, whom had fallen down on the sidewalk. I had tissues in my car, so I ran and got the box to help the woman control her bloody nose. Fortunately there was a police officer on duty around the corner from her fall, so I ran over to him, and he called 911 for us. I waited with the woman and the police man until the ambulance arrived and she was being medically treated. She was very frightened, so it calmed her, for me to stay with her and console her. She ended up being just fine :-)
I believe that diversity makes us interesting. And a book should never be judged by its cover!

I recently spent time with my ex's niece a couple weeks ago. It was her 10th birthday. We hung out for the day talking about school and philosophies of life and we eventually made our way to Claire's to pick out a gift. I encouraged her to follow her dreams as a fashion designer as we commented on the latest trends. Friends would ask why I make the effort to spend time with her considering me and my ex's history, but I tell them, "wouldn't you have wanted someone to take your dreams seriously when you were ten?
To encourage others to do good even if nothing is returned in doing so. People need to understand that it's OK to be happy, and to not be afraid of helping others reach success. In doing so you will be rewarded in one way or another.

I give to others to make sure they are happy, especially my baby sister. When I saved up $6 to spend, I couldn't just spend it all on myself, so I bought her a butterfly net.

I've been a volunteer coach and umpire since I was 13 in the little league I graduated from.
I had so many great volunteer coaches who coached because they wanted to teach baseball to the next generations, so I followed their lead.
I collect trash during my hiking trips.
Hold doors open for whomever so needs a door opened.
I rebuilt the youth lounge at my temple so the youth group had a nice place to meet.
