Tell Us Your Good Deed

In 2016, I took in a homeless teenager. I treated him as if he was my own son, even though we were 10 years apart. After a while his father was fortunately able to support him again, and he left my home to live with him. Hope you are doing well, Sal!

Tell Us Your Good Deed

In my off time, I use a firefighter puppet I made named "Lieutenant Hug Me" to go to schools and teach fire safety to children. I recently did one at the Hosmer School. Also made totem poles for kids to paint at Skyview school in Leominster.

Why are you participating?

To spread positive energy in the world.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I always say "Bless you" to someone when they sneeze, even if they can't hear me. I also try to help someone in need as often as I can.

Why are you participating?

It's important to remember that in this sometimes scary, chaotic world, regardless of our beliefs or differences, we need to stand together and protect one another.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I went into Cumberland Farms and saw a group of young adults that looked like they had been working outside and they looked very hot and sweaty so I told them their soft drinks were on the Fire Dept and I picked up the tab.

Why are you participating?

Sounds like a fun project.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

As a firefighter, I have worked 43 years protecting the people of Fitchburg and worked all types of civic events and running youth sports leagues in the city.

Why are you participating?

To show the diverse make-up of our City is a great thing, and that our residents are decent, hardworking, respectable, generous people, with respect for each other, no matter the color, creed, nationality, size, or life style.
