Tell Us Your Good Deed

I am a direct descendant of Ahosu Agassou (“Tegbesu”), the founder of Dahomey and the spiritual system of Vodoun.
As an elder in the Worcester community, I am often asked to pour libation and call upon ancestors with my drumming.
I am on the Enstoolment Committee of the National Black Council of Elders.
I was enstooled on April 7, 2017 as Queen Mother by the National Black Council of Elders
I am a US Army Disabled Veteran
I was Vice Chair on the Worcester Commission on Disability.

Why are you participating?

I am participating because I am more than the eye can see and looks can be deceiving. When people look at me they see a short, chubby, disabled elderly grandma.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I try to spread good will every day, whether by greeting someone with "Good morning" or "Good afternoon" or just sharing a smile.

Why are you participating?

I want the world to see that kindness is not lost, that real people with real hopes and dreams still exist, and the world is generally a good place, if we choose to make it so.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

Constantly Trying to find new ways to help develop & improve my Community around me because all it takes is one person to notice and want to do the same, so I might NOT get everybody's attention but as long as I know that I got someone's attention is what Matters.

Why are you participating?

Because I BELIEVE this is AN Amazing way to Bring Awareness to Everyone AROUND US. THAT We're In This World Together & although we ALL May have different sizes, shapes, & colors WE Are ALL the SAME No Matter If Our Situations, Circumstances or Backgrounds aren't the SAME.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I started the first Black Lives Matter Silent Vigil at my white-privileged church and I volunteer my time and energy to causes I believe in like BLM, the environment, and LGBTQ rights.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I did Harbor to the bay which is a 70 plus mile bike ride and raised money for this cause last year and I am planning to do it this year. I am also into saving power, water and recycling so I make sure that I do it diligently as well as recycle waste to an extent possible. One more thing, I try my best to not waste food.

Why are you participating?

For fun... I love to get my pictures taken.
