I wanted to be a better father than mine was. I wanted to be a good and reliable husband. I work at my local food pantry. I believe that I have talked 5+ young people out of committing suicide.
Here is a collection of 6131 people who have participated in the project so far. Explore and see the variety of people doing good deeds in their communities. You can also see all the labels, groups of people, photographers, and a world map of where everyone is from!

My good deed is upholding the image of the black man in America. Everyday African American men and women are depicted as animalistic or less than other races, incapable of helping ourselves, often complaining rarely taking action. My good deed is being the best version of myself I can be, to show my brothers and sisters that WE are capable of so much more than we’re credited for. To show my brothers and sisters that all we’ll ever needed is a chance.

On the day I took these photos I was volunteering as an activist: asking for support in protecting trans folks' right to access public spaces.
Well... a friend, or just another human being you've never met asks you to participate in something. It doesn't take too much effort, but it's important to them, and perhaps it'll effect some positive change.

Bringing a lost dog back to its owner.
I don't volunteer, or participate in any groups, but I always try to spread kindness, and pay it forward. Being kind, and good to others is what I love for.
I believe that you don't know what other people are going through so why not be kind to everyone? You could save a life, or make someone's day a little brighter.

I help people. When they cry I help by saying you are great and important! I give them huggies and kissies!
I like it because it was fun.

I approach everyone with a open heart and a smile to pass on.
The only time you should look down on anyone is when you're helping them to stand. I believe this organization helps everyone realize there is more to share with the person next to you rather than classify, compare, and divide.

I've been a Girl Scout leader for over 30 years. Started with my daughter, and now my granddaughters. Helping girls in our community learn to be leaders of the future. We strive to open the minds of all girls to their possibilities and help them see who they can become. We have fun helping each other.
I love that this opportunity to participate was so close to home. Everyone needs to see "the person" not their label.
