Tell Us Your Good Deed

I regularly donate money to those in need. I don't make much money, because summer camp counselors don't get paid much. But I love what I do. I love having such a big impact on kids' lives. But that's besides the point. I try to donate my money. Just today I donated $30 to my teacher's fund to help with his step daughter's surgery. Sure I'd like to have the money for myself. But other people need it more. I've donated to those with cancer. Those who need money for school. A little girl who needed money to help get new school supplies.

Why are you participating?

Labels have plagued everyone I know. The words hurt. It changes people. It makes their days worse. But I believe in the better. I believe that we all can be happy, no matter our circumstances. And it's so incredibly important to be happy.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I am currently working on a farm run by a non-profit called Heifer International teaching children and adults about how they can end world hunger and poverty!

Why are you participating?

We all have the possibility of changing the world in small acts! I hope that my time at Heifer Farm contributes to ending world hunger and poverty, no matter how small of an act it may seem.

I practice love, kindness, forgiveness and top it off with a smile to get through everyday.

Why are you participating?

The world needs more love, peace and kindness and what we can do is give it with the hopes that others will follow suit ❤️

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I currently intern at my university's counseling center and I'm trying my best to encourage people to be more vulnerable in order to build resiliency. Validating a person's reality and their personal truth can be very powerful.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I gave a man who looked down and out, my breakfast sandwich and some cash. I paid for someone's groceries who didn't have enough money to buy all her groceries.

Why are you participating?

I want to be part of a positive community of people who look at people first and remember they are someone's son, daughter, mother, etc. Not to judge, but to think first before being negative.
