Tell Us Your Good Deed

I live in a place where more often than not parents are busy working a lot of hours are not sufficient in English to help their children on their homework. At a local church I helped tutor students in both math and writing from kindergarten to the 6th grade.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I always carry bottled water, in my truck, to give to homeless people on the streets

Why are you participating?

I feel like we need to talk to our neighbors more. This looks like a fun way to start a conversation.

Volunteer for an Animal Shelter, I stand against animal abuse. Always help in food/clothes/book drives. I will help at any chance I get. Smile at everybody, it makes a difference.

Why are you participating?

In the world we live in now, any good deed is necessary. Human kindness goes a long way. ALWAYS BE KIND.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

The house where I grew up is on the route of the Boston Marathon, just about at the 10-mile mark, and every Patriot's Day, we'd have a big party. That was My Day: I made it my mission to get as many of those runners to laugh or smile (or even just perk up a little) as I could. I would stand out there for hours cheering them on, just to show them we were behind them and try to give them a little boost to keep on going toward the finish line.

Why are you participating?

Because we're all so much more than the labels that others put on us (and we put on ourselves)!

Tell Us Your Good Deed

As a nurse, I help my patients stay well, and when they're sick, I help them to get better! I try not to judge people, but take them as they are. Everyone deserves good care from their medical caregivers!

Why are you participating?

I like the idea of not judging a person by what you see when you first meet them. You never know what someone has been through in their life until you sit down and talk with them, and take the time to get to know them.
