we're getting really good at sharing. and we do what we can to turn frowns upside down on the faces of those around us, whether dear to us or unknown.
our philosophy: if you sow goodness, you will reap goodness.
This summer I worked at a non-profit which combats sexual harassment for women. Every summer, I try and work with a nonprofit and do my part.
I think this project is amazing - that across gender, ethnicity, any identity, we are very similar.

Each day, I make it an effort to accept people for who they are and listen to them attentively. People feel important when I listen to them, and I feel that this is just one way that I bring light to people's day.
I am participating because this project supports my values, not only in my home life, but my work life as well. I work in human resources, and I find joy in helping someone new each day.

I am a volunteer for a local shelter where I help feed the cats & take care of them. I am a huge animal lover and have rescued several animals, including one that was homeless on the beach in Guatemala. I try to be a giver more than anything because it creates a positive chain reaction.
I love unique projects like this! I think it was daring for the artist to come up with this project and spread it out in public like wildfire! What a wonderful way to create awareness that JUDGING people is never a positive thing, and will only hurt people.

I was a mentor for an at risk youth in Portland Maine for over a year. We helped each other tremendously and it was a very humbling experience that changed my life.
I want people to be aware that children and adults are being prescribed powerful medications to alleviate pain. I was prescribed vicodin at 15 for back pain, and finally graduated to Oxycontin by 26. The drugs took control of my life.

I am becoming more involved in volunteering and donating. I have helped to clean up a couple of parks. I will be walking for cancer this year, and donating my hair for cancer patients.
I may not be able to make a huge impact on improving society, but I know that I do not stand alone. The combined effort of many can change the world, and I can only hope to say that I was a part of it.

A longtime volunteer and environmentalist, I am studying to become an Environmental Engineer so I can travel to underdeveloped countries with limited access to clean water to design purification and sanitation systems for them!

When I see someone sad I help them. I'll play with people when they don't have any one to play with.
