Tell Us Your Good Deed

I believe in spreading positivity because life's too short to be a d*ck. Too often people don't realize how much they impact the world around them.

Why are you participating?

Everyone deserves to be respected and accepted for who they are.

I help organize a 5k for a non-profit organization every year that helps earn money for a food bank. The organization is called "The Joseph's Project" and it delivers food to local families in need.

I worked with two other teachers to coordinate a homeroom/community action project. We collected towels for veterans in the community.

Why are you participating?

As an art teacher, I think this is a good, fun, interesting project to be involved in. It's great that it's open to students and teachers/staff alike.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I have hosted a non-profit fundraiser to raise money for the PMC, Dana Farber and cancer research. I have done this for the last three years.

Why are you participating?

I am participating because I am a pacifist and I honestly believe that if you are kind to others good things and happiness will come to you.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I like to think I help anyone who just needs someone to talk to or be there for them. Sometimes people just need something to make them smile, and I try to be that something even if it means doing something crazy.

Why are you participating?

Sounded like fun!

A couple times a year I volunteer to make and serve dinner for the Dismiss Farm. It's sorta like a halfway house. Full of nice people who want to change their lives. I also saved a dog that almost got hit by a car.

To this day, I've been donating to a organization called "The Leelah Project". This foundation helps transgender individuals receive items that would help in their transition to their desired gender. I've been trying to help out as much as possible, as I am a LGBT individual myself. :)

Why are you participating?

I want to show that labels aren't what define you. You should just be yourself. As long as you're happy, nothing else matters.

I make friends with everyone at my school - and stand up for them if they are being bullied. Everyone deserves to feel safe and feel they have a friend who has their back.

Why are you participating?

Because Troy asked me and I think it is a very cool idea. Thank you.
