Tell Us Your Good Deed

Once I went with a group of students from my college to a rural village in Haiti for a week - we helped schoolchildren improve their English, but most importantly the friendships we made demonstrated a mutual respect and love that goes beyond language and culture.

Why are you participating?

It's important for people to realize that there's more than meets the eye. I've surprised myself so much lately by simply getting to know people regardless of their background. Appreciating what makes them unique affirms their dignity and also helps me grow as an individual.

I spend all my free time spreading the beauty of art to people of all ages, especially children. I spend my days making costumes to make people's beloved characters come to life and promote free craft events to the public. I want art to be accessible to everyone at no cost, and to fulfill a child their dream of interacting with their favorite role models, especially those who are ill and are limited by the walls of their hospital bed.

Why are you participating?

I am a Biology undergraduate and as a result, I work in the science and research community. But because I am entering such a professional setting, sometimes it is difficult to still be a cosplayer, because most people view them as "weird" or "crazy".

Tell Us Your Good Deed

My mother had a bad drug addiction, lost all her kids. I was in and out the system and I promised one day I would bring my sibling together on Mother's Day. I reached out to all her kids and I got them together. It was her dying wish. I changed the way they loved her and I found change in forgiveness. Now I like helping others find loved ones and the peace I found. ❤️️

Why are you participating?

Because I don't want to see change, I want to become it. ❤️️

Eliminate Evil. Promote Love. If we would all cut the negativity from our lives and focus on trying to continue to be better, it would work. Show love. Loved people, Love people.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

Encouraging people to discover the musical, artistic gifts they've brought with them to this life.

Why are you participating?

The only way to fight evil is to reach for the humanity in others. What I've learned over the years: you do not have to believe the cruel, negative messages that people often hurl at you.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

i am a life long committed giver and human caretaker. Meaning I intend on to give my time and be in service to the most vulnerable individuals around me. To be a light in the dark and anchor in the rough seas for others.
