I am the living 'anti-stereotype' and there are many more like me in this world. I hope others will see me and know that they do not have to live down to negative stereotypes about Blacks, women, or overweight people.

Why are you participating?

Visited booth at Worcester Pride and liked the idea of the program. I am an openly gay man and have been discriminated against on many occasion. I am also very spiritual, not religious, and religious people find that hard to accept.

I am the executive director of the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition (MTPC), working to end discrimination on the basis of gender identity and expression. I am passionate about equality for all people of all gender identities and expressions.

Why are you participating?

Labels can be a tricky thing in our world. When we claim them for ourselves, labels can be empowering and enlightening, for us and the world around us. Yet, when used maliciously or without consent, labels can cause unspeakable or unforeseen harm.
