From 2018-2021, I organized 1 hour Wednesday evening vigils to provide awareness of the separation of families at our southern US border in unity with #FamiliesBelongTogether

I have volunteered at soup kitchens growing up and I once worked at a homeless shelter. I still try to help people everyday.

Why are you participating?

I spent my teen years trying to be anything but myself. I could not pray the gay away and I almost was successful in taking my own life too many times. I want others to know it gets better and they are loved.

A young person in front of me in line at a store was a couple dollars short of her total and was trying to figure out what to put back. I told her to put it all in her bag because she was taking home everything she wanted. I paid the difference and left a tip for the server from her.

Why are you participating?

I believe that treating people with kindness and respect goes a long way. If we take little moments to show our humanity, and lead by example, the world will be a better place for all.

Why are you participating?

I had crosswalks put in the neighborhood to increase children's safety.

Why are you participating?

I feel no one should be put into one category. We're made up of all kind of characteristics, not just one.
