I picked toys from my birthday party to give to a preschool for medically complex kids like me because they needed things to play with. When I took them to the kids I gave hugs to them because I didn’t want them to be sad.
I hope that people look beyond my disabilities and see that I am a happy girl who loves animals and my family and my friends. I hope that people can learn to be nicer to people who are different

I donate books to the hospital floors that my daughter has been on for other families to have to fill the many hours they spend with their sick children, and for older kids who are hospitalized.
My child has been the victim of bullying because of the disabilities that she has. As a former teacher and a mother, I want her to live in a world that is more tolerant and less judge-mental.
I smile at others, I don't take myself too seriously and never make anyone feel invisible.
I have donated money to an animal shelter.

Whenever I have left overs at a restaurant I ask for a take away bag and give away the food to the first homeless person I see.
Because I think we need to judge less and empathize more.

On vacation while shopping, I comforted a stranger/ a young lady who had just heard of her friend's passing. She was about to wipe her tears with a leaf when I handed her a pack of tissues and hugged her.
Because I think it is a fun idea and maybe with my story I can inspire someone.

My family nick name for me is Saint Bernard- I have had many people stay with me when they had no where to go. I host weekly dinners for friends - took care of my elderly aunt that had no kids of her own for the last 20 years of her life and most recently the stars introduced me to Gigi and now she has a forever home with my partner Richard and I - we fought the system and won - she’s in a forever home and is loved - working on getting more kids into our home too
Why not - everyone has a story - I grew up in Europe and ended back in Massachusetts- my parents are still in France and all my siblings are in the States - we were raised to help others and make a difference - he’s one more forum to do that
