Once I went with a group of students from my college to a rural village in Haiti for a week - we helped schoolchildren improve their English, but most importantly the friendships we made demonstrated a mutual respect and love that goes beyond language and culture.

I spend all my free time spreading the beauty of art to people of all ages, especially children. I spend my days making costumes to make people's beloved characters come to life and promote free craft events to the public. I want art to be accessible to everyone at no cost, and to fulfill a child their dream of interacting with their favorite role models, especially those who are ill and are limited by the walls of their hospital bed.
I am a Biology undergraduate and as a result, I work in the science and research community. But because I am entering such a professional setting, sometimes it is difficult to still be a cosplayer, because most people view them as "weird" or "crazy".

My mother had a bad drug addiction, lost all her kids. I was in and out the system and I promised one day I would bring my sibling together on Mother's Day. I reached out to all her kids and I got them together. It was her dying wish. I changed the way they loved her and I found change in forgiveness. Now I like helping others find loved ones and the peace I found. ❤️️
Because I don't want to see change, I want to become it. ❤️️
